Our Story
Barbelt Apparel was born in 2018, just one year after we immigrated to the United States from Venezuela. Our journey started with a dream and a lot of determination—but without the financial means to support our training and competitions.
In those early days, we were fortunate to receive a sponsorship from a local gym, which introduced us to an incredible fitness community. Inspired by the support and energy of those around us, we started selling T-shirts and hoodies to raise money for our training and competition expenses.
Thanks to the overwhelming support from local gyms and the fitness community, Barbelt grew beyond anything we could have imagined. Those early years helped us pay for several competitions and equipment, fueling our journey and driving our commitment to excellence.
Why Barbelt?
The name “Barbelt” was created as a blend of two powerful symbols: the barbell, representing strength, power, and physical resilience, and the karate belt, embodying mindset, discipline, and the journey toward excellence. Together, these elements represent the core of Barbelt Apparel—a brand built on the fusion of fitness and martial arts, promoting resilience, dedication, and personal growth.

We also honor the dedication and sacrifices of our first responders, veterans, and military personnel by contributing $1 from every item sold to organizations that support them. Through these efforts, we’re making a difference not only in our local community, but also in the lives of those who serve and protect us.
